Autobarn Grand Opening Masters Complex North Rockhampton
Special Guest Craig Lowndes
It was a hot and dry day at the Grand Opening of the new Auto Barn store at the Masters Complex, North Rockhampton where we had the Time Traveler on display. There was a fine selection of Hot Rods and Vintage Cars as well as the Twin TurboCommodore of John and Michelle Findlater. We were pleased to accept the invitation of the Auto Barn Franchisee, Stephen Baker, as it will always beadvantageous to Drag Racing to have the volume of people that were there look at the vehicles probably for the first time. There were 100’s queued to have their memorabilia signed by Craig Lowndes and at the end of the day Stephenbrought Craig over who then spoke individually to all of our team that was there. This included Craig and Renee Avenell and their children Connor and Chloe.
A special thanks to Rod Gough from Rockhampton Heavy Towing who tilt-trayed the Time Traveller out and back. Also to Alan Croft and Greg Belz who helped out on the day as well. Heather and I quite enjoyed the day although it was hot. The added bonus was having the streaming of the Nationals from Sydney Dragway on the Ipad which unfortunately ran out of battery just before the finals. A special congratulations to Luke Marsden and The Hof being Number 1 and 2 in Super Charged Outlaws which is richly deserved by both of them.
We have 2 weeks before the Outlaw Show at Benaraby Raceway. Zachary will be there in the Penguin’s Lexus Front Engine Dragster and then the following week we are off to Sydney with the Time Traveler for the huge Outlaw Nitro Spectacular along with the ASPA Finals. This will be an event not to be missed.
